This grey male cat has been coming around a lot for the last couple of months. We are calling him Fang. I was wondering if he belonged to someone.

Dear Friends,

I just want to say a BIG thank you for showing your support for our military. Many of you don't know that he has been deployed for 15 months to Afghanistan. He has participated in Operation Freedom which is designed to mentor the Afghan Army so that they can be self sustaining. Our prayers for his safe return will be realized when he steps foot in our home.

Recycle

If you are wanting to recycle but your not sure how to start, here are some tips. The first thing to d is decide that you are going to recycle. It is so much easier to just throw it in the trash. However with a little effort you can cut your landfill contributions in half. The second step is to decide what you are going to recycle. There are different places to go.

Thanks to everyone who contacted the county road repair. I was most impressed with the response. Dawn asked the question on March 12 and by March 14 I noticed it was already fixed. According to Heather:

I have not called but I do know we are precinct 1 and the garage number is 817-615-4050, we are suppose to call and tell them we need to speak to the precinct 1 office to tell them about a bad road that needs to be fixed.

Just as the Superbowl was starting I looked outside and snapped a few pictures of the brilliant sunset. Enjoy.

Christmas Lights

Despite the cool weather I took a walk this evening to look at some of the Beautiful Christmas Lights on Display. I wanted to share with you some of what I saw but the camera cannot really capture what the human eye can see -- not without a tripod anyway. I think my favorite is down on Plum Creek because of the reflection in the pond. Enjoy.

Sunrise and Steam on the Pond

Sunrise and Steam on the Pond

I was driving to work this morning and spotted this scene. The sun was rising and shining through the mist floating up from the fountain on a neighbor's pond. I snapped a quick picture with my phone but it did not do it justice. The temperature was about 40 degrees this morning.

DSL Outage

Death Star

Looks like DSL is out for the entire neighboorhood. AT&T tells me there is not an outtage on their end and needs to schedule an appointment to come inside my house. Meanwhile, the Gudals, Johnsons, and Borgs are also out. Must be a coincidence I guess.
