Input on proposed change to Restrictions

Attached is a copy of the notice that was mailed out today. It is in pdf format so it should download without trouble. If you cannot open the file, the paper copy should arrive shortly.
As you read, please keep in mind that the ACC cannot allow a front entry in one case and still maintain the ability to disallow it for another lot, therefore the Restrictions would need to be amended. This is not a matter of personal preference, but a requirement of the laws which govern HOAs.
Sincerely,
Missy Gudal
Secretary

  1. clarification re: proposed change
Several members have indicated that they do not mind making an
exception in the Peterson’s case. We respect that decision and
appreciate their input. We are concerned however that members may
believe that it is possible to grant a one-time exception, which is
not the case. If you are willing to allow a front-entry access for
this lot, then the DCCR must be amended to allow it for all lots.
This is not personal preference or opinion but a legal requirement.

    Sincerely,
    Missy Gudal
    Secretary

  2. Re: clarification re: proposed change
Missy-change the restriction to 150ft. and go with it. We have 8 more open lots-not to many more are even left to build on. I know also that this applies to other buildings people may want to build. I think you all are underestimating the population out here. We all want to live in a nice area, and I think most all of us keep things that way without having to have a Board tell us to. We all also chose to live in the country so we don’t have to have so many restrictions put on us. Give the Petersons a break, you will never be sorry they are your neighbors. christi childers

  3. RE: clarification re: proposed change
I have to agree with Christi. Just step into any one of these homes and you will see that not only do they take great pride in their homes but it is done with class and could apply for any magazine cover. This is a neighborhood of professionals and intelligent people whom can take offence to such tight restrictions. Understanding and respecting the HOA job and recognizing there is a need but maybe not as strict as I have heard it can be.

About my trailer, my plans were to take it to the ranch but couldn’t find the hitch for my car and I can’t move it by myself. If the HOA would like to move it for me that would be great. My husband won’t be home till July so it will be a while till I will have a man to help. This is where I think the rules on trailers is a little silly because many a time moving it back will make an even greater eye soar. I know the neighbors behind me will not like the new placement of the trailer. Again, I am more than willing to abide by the rules so if someone can help with moving the trailer I would be most grateful.
